1992 ... and the madness gets a name! This incredible long name is translated (into German)
by many people just incredibly stupid:
JCSHG is a typical 'pub band' - in their very early teens the both founding members Haubi and Lou met in a pub
and launched one of the unordinariest bands this planet has ever seen. And even this story sounds quite simple, the band's name
is indeed extraordinary.
JCSHG is neither anti-clerical, anti-environmental nor taints society. It's more a bunch of young at heart people,
pouring their fun into music and refuse looking at the black side of life! Is this the way to attract public attention?
From the beginning different music styles were artistically mixed as different band members joined: punk, ska, funk, emocore
and even an oriental influence were combined and make the music of JCSHG unique.
1995 ... 'How To Kill Your Neighbour' is the strange title of the first produced EP. From now on the band is more or less ignored by the Austrian music industry and it goes straight upwards. The EP is nevertheless a respectable result and even leads to gigs in neighboring countries.
1998 ... the first full-length album called 'Global Energy' is released. JCSHG
became famous. Well, almost!
"Now it's time that many people listen to our music without getting crazy. You can feel the ongoing evolution, but the style
keeps the same.", so Gerold Haubner, "We don't want to be stuck on a style. Besides, we have always had many influences:
from Dinosaur Jr. to Sonic Youth, Black Sabbath, The Specials, Madness, Millencolin and afro-cuban-mexican folk music.
Everything is on board, now it's ska, punk and the farmer's marching band from Pottschach. - Who knows what will come next?"
2011 ... over one and a half decades opinions have differed on the question: Is it the long,
pompous, ambiguous band name or the incredibly complex music style bringing the fans to ecstasy?
Beyond all trends Mastermind Haubi (vocals/guitar), Lou (bass/vocals), Tom (guitar/vocals) and Doogie (drums) are noisy like
a whirlwind and ignore all boarders. Supported by an extraordinary horn section, Florian Spies (trombone) and Alex Simon (trumpet),
the party can go on.
More varied than ever the new program is presented to our fans but of course not missing out the older songs.
JCSHG balls to the walls - promised compadres!
